Wanted in Nairobi: Hardcore Developers For Intel CodeFest

Android developers in Nairobi will on December 3 gather at the iHub for an Intel-hosted Android Codefest with an opportunity to showcase their skills, meet buddies and hack software and win prizes.

Intel is looking for developers with skin, guys/girls who have an app in the Google Play store under their name, and the app should have atleast 150 downloads or more.

But don’t worry, if you think you are great dev, sign up for the gig really fast and stand an opportunity to take home an Intel inside device, this could be a classy smartphone, a feather-light ultrabook, a slim-cute notebook or just anything with Intel inside. Intel doesn’t give hand-me downs, so you have to be really good to win their hearts. Better, you stand a chance to pitch your app to Intel Capital, a billion dollar fund with investments worth over $10.8 billion in over 1,250 companies. However, if you are a little lucky, we will fix you. You will walk home with a $5000 go-to-market package for selected apps.

Apartf rom just prizes, you will also learn to Add x86 support and WiDi to your Android apps and run GPA optimization.

Now, go tell your friends and enemies the fight is on. You can either come alone or with a friend. Carry your laptop, the one you have been developing your app from, and it should preferably be a Windows PC, (sorry if you have a Mac or Linux). Requisite software will be made available to registered participants only.

All the best!
