Flat6Labs Cairo Graduates Ten New Startups From Its 7th Demo Day

DD10 new startups have graduated from Flat6Labs Cairo Seventh Demo Day  after a 4-months-long accelerator program.

The startups unveiled late May, include Reform Studio which specializes in handmade fabrics, Sunergy which provides renewable energy solutions, KhObz which manufactures automated machinery to create traditional Egyptian bread, Telecosys which delivers software solutions for telecommunication companies and Farminal which offers technology solutions for dairy farms. Among the startup companies were many with a focus on web-based and mobile applications including Tamreeni, an online Arabic fitness community, Mapture which provides geo-related data, LocName which provides short and unique name for addresses, which can easily be shared with friends & clients, Codly which accelerates software development process for mobile app developers and Ennota.com, which offers affordable financial software solution for SMBs in MENA.

According to Ramez Mohamed, CEO of Flat6Labs, “The level of diversity and specialization present among this cycle’s startup companies speaks volumes for the future of this country and the importance and power of its innovative youth.” He added, “We are very pleased to actively take a part in driving the regional entrepreneurial scene with the collaboration of our partners across the MENA region.”

Launched in Cairo in 2011, Flat6Labs has helped build over 36 companies, created over 320 jobs created and has worked with over 120 entrepreneurs.  It has also expanded to Abu Dhabi in partnership with TwoFour54 and is already operational in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
