Graph1.31The Reserves-to-Production (R/P) ratio measures how long it would take for a natural resource to be depleted if production levels were to remain constant. Based on natural gas reserves and production levels of 2013, Africa has the second highest R/P ratio for natural gas in the world such that the current gas reserves would last for 70 more years, much more than North America’s 13 years and Asia Pacific’s 31 years.
