ATCON to celebrate its upcoming 20th Anniversary soon in Nigeria

The Association of Telecommunications Companies of Nigeria (ATCON) has assigned IT & Telecom Digest and ICT Magazine, the event manager and official marketer for its forthcoming 20th Anniversary celebrations.

According to Ajibola Olude, the association’s executive secretary, the appointment letter, which was addressed to Belmang Ltd, publishers of the magazine, followed a thorough process of calling for bidders, shortlisting qualified companies and final selection after a series of presentations and interviews.

The letter signed by Lanre Ajayi, the President of ATCON and addressed to the company read: “We are pleased to inform you that the National Executive Council of the Association of Telecommunications Companies of Nigeria (ATCON) has appointed Belmang Ltd. the official marketer and event manager of ATCON’s 20th Anniversary.”

Speaking about the event, Ajayi stated for the last 20 years the journey had been so eventful for the Nigerian telecommunications industry with ATCON as the umbrella body of all telecommunications companies playing crucial roles.

Ajayi further added that ATCON is recognized for fighting for the growth of the ICT industry via engagement and advocacy of all stakeholders, including the government for better policies.

“The association has made a decision to take time out to evaluate its achievements, the industry and the association’s successes while also giving due recognition to those who have made the accomplishments for the association and its members within the last 20 years and make projections for the future through the celebration,” Ajayi mentioned.
