Kenya Power and Lighting Company will carry out routine maintenance of their Information Technology Prepaid System for efficient service delivery to customers. The exercise is planned to be conducted from Tuesday, 3rd July 2018 at 10pm to Wednesday, 4th July 2018 at 10am. During this period, all prepaid services which include buying tokens through PayBill 888880 will not be available. Other prepaid tokens buying outlets such as banking halls and vendors will also be affected.
This is solely to enhance their service delivery. The company regularly undertakes system maintenance. Following the past improvements on their prepaid system, they have greatly enhanced the customer experience in purchase and delivery of prepaid tokens. The timing has been planned to result in less to least disruption hoping they are no inconveniences.
However, Postpaid Bill Payments via 888888 and other payment outlets including the banking halls will not be affected. Kenya Power and Lighting Company advices customers who may need top ups to buy their tokens early to stay connected. Customers can get in touch with them using their communication channels.
