The Lossless and Dolby Atmos spatial audio features are gradually rolling out to Android versions of Apple Music.

While the Android version of Apple Music has recently received an update, the new flagship options of the audio streaming service were still waiting. Our colleagues at Engadget today confirm the deployment of Lossless and spatial audio on Android smartphones.

Available since June on Apple devices

The announcement comes barely a month after the rollout on the Apple ecosystem. The rules remain the same for Android users: they will need compatible wireless headphones for Dolby Atmos spatial audio. A compatible wired headset will be essential to enjoy songs in a Lossless format.

The catalogue of songs available with these formats continues to evolve. Apple hopes to make more than 75 million titles compatible with these listening modes in the future.
