Normally, Windows 11 will set your PC’s time zone based on your location, but if you have location services turned off (or Windows is confused), you can also manually set your time zone. This is how.
To begin, press Windows+i on your keyboard to access Windows Settings. Alternatively, open Start and type “settings,” then click the “Windows Settings” icon.
When Settings opens, go to the sidebar and click “Time & Language,” then “Date & Time.”
Scroll down in Date & Time settings and turn the switch next to “Set Time Zone Automatically” to “Off.”
If the option is greyed out, it is because your privacy settings do not permit Microsoft to share the location of your PC. If that’s the case, this option is already turned off.
Then, in Settings, scroll up one row until you see the “Time Zone” option. Select the time zone you want to use from the drop-down menu beside it.
After that, simply close Settings and you’re good to go. If you ever need to change your time zone manually, open Settings and go to Time & Language > Date & Time. Alternatively, if you want Windows to automatically set your time zone, toggle “Set Time Zone Automatically” to “On.”Â
