Motorola unveils Moto Edge X30:the first smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor

Motorola eventually went ahead of everyone by introducing the Moto Edge X30 yesterday, the first smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The phone is now only available in China. Still, we may expect news about its availability in the United States and other regions of the world precisely on our Local markets.

Motorola has finally taken the lead even though Xiaomi claimed that it would be the first manufacturer to use Qualcomm’s new chip in its expected Xiaomi 12. The Moto Edge X30, which has been in development for some months, will be introduced in China on December 15.

Specifications

This new smartphone has a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. It will be available with 8 to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The Edge X30 has a 5,000 mAh rechargeable battery that runs at 68 W on the battery front.

The Moto Edge X30 makes use of an unusual camera setup :

  •  wide-angle and the ultra-wide-angle: 50 megapixels.
  • Depth sensors: 2 megapixel

The Moto Edge X30 will be available for purchase for 306 Euros
