The installation of OxygenOS 12, an overlay of Android 12 on the  OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro has been halted due to many issues discovered.

On OxygenOS 12, several vexing issues have been noted. The new interface was criticized for its animation issues, errors, erroneous displays, and improper facial recognition. As a result, OnePlus decided to put Android 12 on hold for the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro.

Remember that this is the most recent official version of the OnePlus interface. By the end of 2022, OxygenOS is expected to combine with Oppo’s ColorOS to decrease the flag progressively. The technical issues may be related to this project.

On which date, OnePlus will resume the rollout by fixing the flaws is unknown. If you have already made the switch to OxygenOS you will have to bear the misery patiently.
