Splendapp, based in Egypt, has raised an undisclosed pre-Seed round from a group of Saudi angel investors.
Splendapp, founded in 2020 by Mohamed Khaled and Mohamed Shahin, is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that allows customers to create IOS and Android mobile apps in just 48 hours. The software enables users to make changes without requiring technical support from others.
Splendapp has recently assisted clients in three countries with the development of mobile applications. In the following six months, the company hopes to use the newly obtained funds to grow into the GCC market.
“Besides expansion, this round will enable us to invest heavily in our product and team. I am excited about what’s ahead,” Khaled said.
In the midst of Egypt’s and the region’s current e-commerce growth, the company is also looking to meet the needs of small retailers and help them move to the digital realm. Splendapp is designed to be easily linked with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Woocommerce, Wix, Magento, and others, therefore the company’s current focus is on producing e-commerce apps.
