According to Donald Trump, Elon Musk is a good man but he will not rejoin Twitter.
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has taken over Twitter but is that reason enough for former US President Donald Trump to return to the platform? Perhaps not. Trump, who was banned from Twitter indefinitely last year, is content with his own social media network, Truth. Trump, on the other hand, believes Musk is a nice man who will enhance Twitter. But he has no plans to return to the platform from which he has been barred.
“I am not going on Twitter, I am going to stay on TRUTH,” Trump told Fox News. “I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’ll make improvements to it and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on TRUTH. The bottom line is, no, I am not going back to Twitter.”
Trump went on to say that instead of tweeting, he would be “TRUTHing” for the next week.
Following the Capitol riots on January 6, 2021, the former US President was barred from using all social media sites, including Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
Trump allegedly pushed rioters to take part in the violent assault of the US Capitol on January 6 via his social media outlets. Trump’s tweets were routinely labelled as “controversial” by Twitter before his account was permanently suspended. On Twitter, he had over 88 million followers. He was also barred from using Facebook, and the company’s COO, Sheryl Sandberg, stated that the social media network has no plans to unban Trump.
