Razor is mainly for producing great gaming gadgets. As of the writing of this article, the manufacturer has officially announced its latest gaming laptop, dubbed the Blade 15.
The latest edition of its famed laptop will come with cutting-edge components, but it will also be the first to include an OLED display with a 240 Hz refresh rate and a QHD resolution.
The Razer Blade 15 has a screen with a diagonal of 15 inches, as the name indicates. Its singularity is to use OLED technology, which is typically ignored by the laptop industry because of its high cost and concerns about burn-in.
The screen of the new Blade 15 should also thrill in terms of brightness (the brand claims 400 nits) and, of course, fluidity, having been announced as spanning 100% of the DCI-P3 gamut (240 Hz). On the other hand, the resolution will be limited to 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. The variant also features an Intel Core i9-12900H CPU, 32 GB of DDR5 RAM, a 1 TB SSD, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics card.
Furthermore, the Razer Blade 15 will be offered in the same relatively small form that has contributed to its success. It will have 16.99 x 235 x 355 mm and weigh just 2.01 kg. The Razer Blade 15 with OLED display will contain a Thunderbolt 4 connector (USB-C), two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, three USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a 3.5 mm socket, and an SD card reader, and an HDMI port on its sides.
On either side of the keyboard are two Dolby Atmos-compatible speakers, and a 1080p camera peers out above the screen. It’s worth noting that an M.2 connector is free and may be used to expand the computer’s storage capacity. It would come preloaded with Windows 11, support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, and an 80 Whr battery.
The brand announced that it would be available for purchase in the fourth quarter of 2022. Razer claims a “competitive pricing, somewhat close to other setups in this range” for the price. As a result, prepare an envelope containing around 3,500 euros for this powerhouse.
