realme Launches realme C55 Smartphone in Kenya

realme has launched  realme C55 in the East African market . The phone comes as “a champion of the segment”, featuring a segment-only 64MP camera, 33W SUPERVOOC fast charge and up to 256GB storage in a trendy and unique look inspired by Sun-shower.

Accordingly, realme C55 offers a holistic mobile experience at a decent price starting at a RRP of Ksh 24,899 for the 8 + 256GB variant.

Four segment-first upgrades in camera, storage, charge and design

Earlier this month, realme officially announced strategic upgrades to the C Series to deliver products with segment-leading features in camera, storage, charging and design. 

Now the first product to feature the upgrades, the realme C55, breaks the price barrier to deliver the only 64MP camera in the segment. Along with an 8MP selfie camera and 2MP B&W lens.

The C55 is the first C Series product to feature a flagship OV64B sensor with 0.7μm pixel size and 1/2″ optical format, the same sensor used in the realme GT Master Edition. Compared to its predecessor C35, the C55 has a 54% increase in sensor size and a 53.8% improvement in clarity and resolution.

Moreover, there’re innovative image modes and filters for a better camera experience. With the ProLight imaging technology, C55 effectively improves the resolution and significantly optimizes the highlight suppression ability, preserving more details in low-light conditions.

realme C55 comes with up to 16GB of dynamic RAM and 256GB of ROM, which is now the largest storage in the segment, and supports up to 1TB of memory expansion for a long-lasting user experience. With the advanced DRE Technology, the realme C55 expands 8GB of RAM by up to 8GB to achieve a 16GB-like experience, giving users a seamless and much smoother experience.

By understanding users’ needs, C55 improves battery performance with the fastest 33W SUPERVOOC charge in the segment, which can charge to 100% in just 63 minutes. Compared to its predecessor C35 with an 18W charge, the C55 significantly increases the charge speed by 100% with a massive 5000mAh battery, providing a worry-free charging experience.

When it comes to the back, C55 is masterfully crafted with the Sunshower design inspired by natural elements and available in two colors: Sunshower and Rainy Night. There are 500,000 light particles that form vertical microscope lines which are like the lines of rain, coupled with dazzling colors to be like a sunshower that brings good mood to users. 

C55 also features the right-angle bezel and the thinnest 7.89mm body in the segment, enabling a comfortable gripping and in-hand feeling.   

Additionally, C55 has a 6.72-inch full screen with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, resulting in a more comfortable visual experience. With a centrally positioned punch-hole that seamlessly blends with the phone’s body, C55 creates a better full-screen look and feel.

C55 features Helio G88 Chipset. The chip, which is based on 12nm process technology and Mali-G52 GPU, features octa-core running ticking at 2.0GHz with an Antutu benchmark score of 273,364.

Android’s first Mini Capsule

This time, realme C55 makes a bold breakthrough with surprise, featuring the Android’s first Mini Capsule, which can smartly adapt to the display and can be wrapped around the punch-hole camera cutout. 

It can display various colors of its dynamic light in three battery status-Fully charged, Charging and Low battery in green, blue and red respectively. Besides, users can later experience two more functional scenarios of Data usage and Steps stats that require OTA to be realized. With Mini Capsule, users can get notifications for a better daily convenience.

Moreover, C55 comes with realme UI 4.0 based on Android 13 out of the box, fast-side fingerprint sensor, multifunctional NFC with 360° free swipe, providing fans with a long-term user experience and reliable quality.
