Access Bank South Africa and Jacaranda FM have teamed up to empower and promote female entrepreneurs with the return of Womenpreneur Her Perfect Pitch for its second year.
This initiative, taking place during Women’s Month (August), aims to provide a platform for women entrepreneurs in South Africa to thrive and grow their businesses.
To participate, women entrepreneurs who have been operating for at least a year can visit JacarandaFM.com and share essential information about their business, including its purpose, impact on the community and the support needed to realize their business vision.
This year’s competition is set to offer a unique blend of resources from the banking and entertainment industries, ensuring comprehensive support for the womenpreneurs.
“Apart from financial incentives, participants will have the opportunity to refine their business proposals by perfecting their elevator pitch.”
The chief executive of Access Bank, Sugendhree Reddy highlighted their commitment to supporting women in business and their understanding of the specific challenges faced by businesswomen.
“By collaborating with Jacaranda FM, we aim to elevate womenpreneurs and help them achieve their goals,” said Ms Reddy.
The winners will enjoy a range of valuable prizes, including significant radio airtime, cash rewards, and mentorship for their businesses.
Additionally, the top 30 finalists will be invited to a networking event, providing them with a chance to connect with influential brands and successful women-led businesses, fostering a strong and supportive womenpreneur community.
Deirdre King, managing director of Jacaranda FM, emphasized the importance of mentorship for businesswomen, as discovered from the previous year’s competition.
This year, they have curated an experience that combines both mentorship and financial incentives to offer an even more impactful journey for the participants.
The winners will be announced at a gala dinner scheduled for November 2, 2023. This competition promises to be a game-changer for female entrepreneurs in South Africa, encouraging their growth, innovation, and success.
