Kenya’s Andrew Wachira, Luke  Gathua and Paul Mwangi have launched SmartFellas, a hassle free alternative to drinking and driving in a bid to save lives lost through road accidents, especially those caused by drunk driving.

The team says they were bothered by the increasing number of deaths by road, especially those attributed to drunk driving. So instead of just sitting and there and wishing for a miracle, they came together and launched the SmartFellas, an on-demand chauffeur service.

“Smart Fellas is a members-only chauffeur service providing a highly accessible alternative to driving under the influence of alcohol. You can now enjoy yourself more responsibly and with greater peace of mind because we get you home safely and without hassle in your own cars,’ they told TechMoran.
“Once one pays for their annual membership, they can request a chauffeur by calling Smart Fellas (+254-720-777655). The chauffeur collects the caller from the agreed collection point and drops them home safely in their own cars.

The team has Smart Fellas also have a support call centre running late into the night to make sure every caller is attended to daily. The chauffeur service is available on demand between 17h00 and 02h00 daily. The team ensures one is driven home safely in their own cars without worries about strange drivers among other risks after-party.

The team says the more a member uses the Smart Fellas service, the  higher the discounts while additional subscribers from the same household may join at a substantially reduced rate. The team also has corporate packages and an event or function service.

Currently they have 20 chauffeurs on the platform and signing up more everyday.
