The Samsung Galaxy fold 2 will launch alongside the Galaxy S11 in the first quarter of 2020.
From photos leaked by @Iceuniverse, the Galaxy fold 2 has a foldable display. it breaks from the design Samsung used for its predecessor that features two prominent displays one on the outside that opens like a book to reveal a larger screen on the inside.
According to the Independent, Samsung has ditched the original design of the Galaxy fold and instead has a horizontal design that is reminiscent of classic flip phones.
According to the Independent, the fold 2 looks and works more like the recently announced $1,500 Motorola Razr. It’s a clamshell design is dated back to the initial flip phones but without a physical number pad inside.
The handset transforms into a pocketable square. The foldable feature gives users the simple ability to fold their phone in half and have it fit comfortably in their pants pockets

Various sources suggest that the phone will have a 6.7-inch screen that folds across the horizontal axis. When folded, the screen is hidden on the inside as with the original, whereas the original folds have the hinge on the vertical axis
The original Galaxy fold has a 7.3-inch main screen and a 4.6-inch secondary one, so if this is accurate then both screens would be smaller on the fold 2 which has a 6.7-inch screen.
Pricewise, the phone is a cheaper version of the Samsung fold family. In comparison, the Galaxy fold is $1,980 or £1,800). So if either of those prices is proven true, fold 2 is definitely a better price than the original fold.
The new fold 2 will sell from as low as $1,000 according to the Gizmodo blog post.
Fold 2 as well bears a slimmer body than the current model of the fold.
“This brand-new form factor that we’re now exploring will not only easily fit in your pocket, but it also changes the way you use your phone,” Hyesoon Jeong, Samsung Mobile’s head of framework R&D, said during the launch of the original galaxy fold.
Features of The Galaxy Fold 2
The phone comes in two featured colours which are black and purple.
The exterior has a glossy finish and there’s a small secondary display on the exterior .
The phone runs un on Snapdragon 765 – which would mean that it’s 5G enabled.
According to pocket link, the phone has a 108-megapixel sensor like that one of Galaxy S11 as the main camera with a second telephoto lens. As well as a 5X optical zoom.
The fGalaxy fold 2 has a 256GB RAM .
From a tweeter leak, Ishan Agarwal, tjhe phone supports 4G network only , will be in two colour options black and purple.
Additionally, the phone storage is 256 GB and is cheaper than the Gaklaxy fold.
He gain adds that, the phone will be launcjhing in muiltiple countries including India, US,Chaina, Korea and EU region.
