HP has unveiled its Elite Dragonfly G2 at the CES 2020 one of the first laptops to support 5G networks.

In the new release, HP has stripped-out the 8th-generation Intel chipset found in the previous iteration with the shiny new 10th-generation Intel Core vPro processors.

While the HP Elite Dragonfly has a new Qualcomm X55 modem squeezed inside.

The HP Elite Dragonfly G2 is a  business-focused notebook and with the  5G support, it makes it  a must-have for workers who want fibre broadband speeds

In the event,  HP has committed to adding support from more mobile networks in the coming months.

.According to the Express UK, HP has squeezed a Tile tracker into the internals of its new machine to make it first laptop to ship with built-in support for the industry-leading Bluetooth tracking technology.

This means you’ll be able to track the movements of your notebook from the Tile app – and even receive alerts to your smartphone when it leaves pre-designated areas. So, if someone swipes it from your bag on the train – you’ll know about well before you get to your destination.

To add on that, HP has also considered sustainability. The new notebook has more than 82 per cent of all mechanical parts made of recycled materials.

According to HP, the  Elite Dragonfly is the world’s first laptop made of ocean-bound plastic.

HP Dragonfly G2 Specifications

HP Elite Dragonfly G2 has 24-hours of battery life, compared to 11.5 on the Surface Laptop 3 and 10 on the MacBook Pro.

It’s one light portable device, It weighs less than 1kg, which makes it even easier to move around with.

The laptops will be available to the market towards late summer.

During the CES event, Lenovo also launched a 5G powered pc. The laptop supports both millimetre wave full-band and sub-6GHz 5G networks.

The 5G powered laptops are capable of satisfying your need for speed with ultra-fast connectivity, reduced latency and wider bandwidth.

Users can download large files nearly instantly or stream a high-resolution video with true Full HD clarity even in highly populated areas like airports with 5G.
