South Africa’s MyProperty.co.za has launched a new website in a move it says will make users easily discover property online.
The site is has Google powered search function, property alerts and larger listing photos and has been designed to put the visitors attention on property hunting.
According to CEO, Adriaan Grové the new website makes property searching easier and will make the overall house hunting fun in South Africa. The new MyProperty.co.za was build ground and runs on Amazon’s AWS cloud services.
First launched in 2011, the portal had an upgrade in 2008 and in July this year added a POI (Point of Interest) search feature allowing users to search property near top landmarks such as road, park or place of interest. The portal also added search by surrounding suburbs for users to know their neighborhoods even before buying property.
With bigger pictures and full screen photo viewing MyProperty also allows property agents to add as many photos as they want. The portal in 2010 launched Google Streetview on its listings plus driving directions. Grové adds that MyProperty uses a unique property rank algorithm ranking property photos, descriptions, prices plus 20 other categories on each property listing which makes it easier for property agents and buyers to locate properties.
