On Tuesday, the Apple Store mysteriously did not work for about an hour, which was the reason for a wave of “nerves”. On the topic of launching new products, but after the downtime, it “just” acquired a completely new appearance and a special tab in the Apple navigation at the top level.
At the top of the store, there are now images and links to many Apple product lines (Mac, iPhone, AirPods, etc.). Some of these links lead to new Store pages dedicated to these products, which show the available models and provide links to resources such as purchase guides, accessories and support.
The main Store page also has sections dedicated to new products, links to support pages and much more.
The new design is made in cards and somewhat resembles the Apple Store app for iOS. It feels like it is focused on mobile devices, with smooth horizontal scrolling between the cards on the phone. This effect is not so well thought on a desktop computer, where during horizontal scrolling on the site, there are arrows that you can click on.
As far as we can tell, this is the only change in the store. There are no new products in it, and the purchase page itself remains the same.
