Websites that you’ve allowed to access your location in Google Chrome can see your location on future visits without your permission. We’ll show you how to review this list of sites on desktop and Android.

Before we begin, it’s worth noting that Chrome on iPhone and iPad does not provide a list of sites that can access your location. Instead, you can turn off location sharing on your device to prevent websites from tracking your exact location.

On the desktop, check which websites can access your location.

  • Launch Chrome on your Windows, Mac, Linux, or Chromebook computer to see the sites that have access to your location. Click the three dots in the top-right corner of Chrome.
  • Select “Settings” from the three-dot menu.
  • Click “Privacy and Security” in the sidebar on the left of the “Settings” page.
  • On the right, you’ll see a “Privacy and Security” section. Click “Site Settings” here.
  • Click “Location” in the “Permissions” section of the “Site Settings” page.
  • You’ve arrived at the “Location” page. Scroll down to the “Allowed to See Your Location” section of this page. This section displays a list of sites in Chrome that can access your location.
  • To prevent a site from accessing your location, select it from the list. On the next screen, next to “Location,” select “Block” from the “Allow” drop-down menu.
  • When you’re finished, close Settings and you’re ready to go.

On Android, you can see which websites have access to your location.

You can also see a list of sites that have access to your location in Chrome on Android.

  • Launch Chrome on your phone to see that list. Tap the three dots in Chrome’s upper-right corner.
  • Select “Settings” from the three-dot menu.
  • Scroll down to the “Advanced” section of the “Settings” page and select “Site Settings.”
  • Tap “Location” on the “Site Settings” page.
  • Under the “Allowed” section of the “Location” page, you will see a list of sites that have access to your location.

TIP: IN CHROME, SELECT THE “BLOCKED” OPTION TO SEE THE SITES THAT ARE BLOCKED FROM ACCESSING YOUR LOCATION.

If you don’t want a site to see your location, tap it in the list and select “Block” from the menu.

Now that you know how to find the sites that have permission to access your location, you can review each one individually and allow or deny them access to your location. When you are done click exit settings.
