Samsung has put out the One UI 5.0 update that is a new version of his user interface. The update will hit all compatible devices before the end of October and comes with several features customized to Samsung devices including a new customizable lock screen that allows one to crop frames of a video and turn them into live wallpaper.
One UI 5 debuts new icons and a new design of the user interface. It also comes with a series of news aligned with the Customization of the device and additional color combinations in a more balanced style.
The notifications have also been redesigned and optimized, and are now much more intuitive and easier to read at a glance.
The lock screen can be customized by choosing up to 15 images and videos that will be displayed at random whenever the display wakes up. One can also let Samsung manage the dynamic lock screen with curated images or select up to five categories of images (such as dogs, cats, animals, landscapes, and plants) and the system will show a different one each time.
Other customizable elements include the clock/date style and the notices notifications. In terms of the Home screen, the update adds a new style for the widget, which can now be piled up to keep the overall look of the interface cleaner, and you can switch between widgets with a simple left or right toggle.
The update will arrive on smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S22, Samsung Galaxy S22 +, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy S21, Samsung Galaxy S21 +, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, and Samsung Galaxy A52.
