OLX Kenya Launches Ksh 2 Million Promotion to Reward Users

Dubbed ‘uza uza ushinde na OLX’ promotion, the 42 day promotion is open to any user selling items on OLX and will see one lucky customer win a grand prize of a car purchased from OLX worth Kshs 2million.  OLX says users also stand a chance to win an Android tablet worth Kshs 30,000 daily.

OLX Kenya country manager Peter Ndiangui, said, “Since we launched OLX in Kenya, the number of users has been increasing by 100% year on year. The potential for online transactions in this region has continued to be very promising. To accelerate this, OLX has introduced a promotion that aims to encourage more users to buy and sells items and benefit from instant rewards in the process.”

For users to join the promo, all they have to do is sale on www.olx.co.ke. Each new item listed will give a user one direct entry to the promotion. OLX says this move is also aimed at  helping consumers earn extra cash from items they no longer need or use.  To avoid fraud, users will be contacted via a specific promotion number (0733554488) and they will be required to provide identification to eliminate fraudsters.

OLX is one of the largest and most successful free online classifieds site in the world with presence in over 100 countries and supports 40 different languages, accessible through a PC or mobile phone, providing safe and transparent transactions between buyers and sellers. OLX Kenya has continued to be successful and is ranking at 14 top sites in the country by Alexa Pro and was also the fifth top trending brand according to Google Zeitgeist 2013 – Summary of all items searched for on Google.
