- If you can’t locate Shortcuts, move to the home screen and swipe down with one finger to the centre of the screen.
- Type “shortcuts” in the search bar, and afterwards click the “Shortcuts” app icon that appears.
- In the Shortcuts app, click “My Shortcuts” at the bottom right of the screen
- To add a new shortcut, tap the plus (+) button.
- Tap the ellipse button (three dots) next to the name when you see the New Shortcut page.
- On the screen that pops up, set the shortcut name to whatever you’d like.
- Back on the main screen of the shortcut. Tap the “Add Action” button.
- Search for “Maps” in the panel that appears, then tap “Show Directions.”
- “Show Directions” will now be placed to your shortcut. After that, click the “Destination” button in the action bubble to set the destination address.
- After pressing the “Destination” button, you will see a new pop-up panel where you can set the destination address.
- Fill your home address (or wherever you want to go), then click it in the search results list.
- This is all you need to do to set up a shortcut.
- To add an icon to your home screen that will start the shortcut, tap the ellipse button next to the “Go Home” name.
- Tap “Add to Home Screen” in the panel that appears.
- If necessary, configure the icon, then tap “Add.” Next, go back to your home screen and find the “Go Home” shortcut icon. Tap on it.
- The shortcut will run, and you will see directions from your current location to the address you set in the shortcut.
Use shortcut as much as you want wherever you go, and it’s always going to guide you home.
