This is a step-by-step guide to determining whether your HELB loan application has been approved and disbursed by visiting the HELB website.

Do you want to check the status of your loan, your HELB statement, or your compliance certificate? You can do so through the HELB mobile App or the HELB portal.
- Navigate to the HELB website at www.helb.co.ke.
- Select the student portal from the page menu items (You must be registered)
- Log in with your credentials.
- Select “loan status” from the drop-down menu.
- When you click on “Disbursement,” a form indicating the status of your loan disbursement will appear.
- You can look up the amount awarded and the date it was disbursed.
- You can also check with the bank that you used when you first registered for HELB.
Students can also check their HELB loan disbursement status by dialing the HELB USSD code: *642#.

- select and click the login option.
- Choose loan application and loan disbursement.
- Choose loan disbursement.
- You will be notified via SMS of the status of your loan disbursement.
