Mark Zuckerberg’s owned Threads is now introducing a long-awaited keyword Search feature.
The feature is available not only in the United States but also in various other countries such as India, Canada, Mexico and the UK.
This sought-after tool has been in high demand ever since the platform’s debut in July.
After a successful beta release in New Zealand and Australia just last week, the official rollout of the Search feature comes as no surprise.
Referred to as hashtags or text search in some circles, this function is essential for connecting with communities and keeping up with real-time events.
Interestingly, Threads is the first major competitor to Twitter and Facebook to incorporate this feature.
The feature will be available on both mobile apps and the recently launched web app, giving users the flexibility to search for interests and communities wherever they prefer.
Additionally, the company is actively working on expanding the availability of the search function to more languages and countries soon.
Before this update, users were limited to searching for active Threads accounts only.
